BRIEF STATEMENT:  I am excited to apply to college because of the tremendous opportunities it will offer me.   Cheltenham High School has historically prided itself on high academic achievement. Our school offers the most AP course opportunities in Montgomery County, PA. It also offers numerous honors courses.  As a senior, I am very proud and satisfied with the high-quality education I’ve received at CHS.

 

HIGHER EDUCATION & CAREER OBJECTIVE:  I am interested in majoring in computer science with a concentration in software engineering and cybersecurity.  I hope to minor in business administration.  Long term, I would like to become a tech entrepreneur as a software developer and app creator.  

 

HONORS, AP & ACADEMIC CURRICULUM: AP Computer Science Principles, AP Computer Science A, AP-AB Calculus, Honors Pre-Calculus, Honors English 4 yrs., Honors History 4 yrs., Honors Biology.  

 
WHY ME?   I am a 17-year-old survivor of congenital heart disease.  I plan to help children born with congenital heart disease like me discover and pursue their passion.  In particular, I want to help disadvantaged kids learn all they can about computers and information technologies.  Despite challenges, I have persistently pursued my goals.  I am passionate about computer science and wish to share my talents with others.  For this reason, I look forward to attending college, and hope that my application will be seriously considered based on my "grit" and "gumption", for I am more than just a number.
